Cardioplegia
The Aortic Root cannulae from ANDOCOR are used in connection with open-heart surgery, cardiopulmonary bypass, where they are used to perfuse the coronary arteries with cold blood (< 16°C) or cold cardioplegia solution or a mixture of them. Cardioplegia can be given antegrade or retrograde. For each type different cannulae are available. They are used together with Cardioplegia adaptors for perfusion of cardioplegia solution into the heart during the open-heart surgery.

Ostial perfusion cannulae are intended for use in delivery of cardioplegia solution directly to the coronary arteries during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery.
